About the Maxwell House Bed and Breakfast...

Walla Walla Bed and Breakfast InnThe Maxwell House, a charming 100 year old Craftsman home, is owned and operated by Penny Maxwell Bingham. Penny has been an innkeeper for over 10 years and delights in providing her guests with wonderful hospitality.

Penny had a dream of owning a Bed and Breakfast in the "perfect" small town near a college. In the fall of 2005 her husband, Mark, was in Walla Walla and found what is now The Maxwell House. He called her to say he thought he may be in her dream home. He bought the house without her seeing it! He said there were a few things that needed fixing. That was an understatement, as it took nearly a year to bring the home to today's excellence. She found a young craftsman carpenter to build a front staircase that the city and many contractors said wasn't possible. With this and many other improvements Penny lives her dream every day.

The city of Walla Walla is known for its wine tasting and year round beauty. In 2005, Sunset Magazine, named Walla Walla the best wine destination of the year.

On display and available are water color paintings of the colors, sights, and scenery of the Walla Walla Valley by local artist Jean Ann Mitchell of nearby Milton Freewater, OR.

A lovely breakfast will be served in the dining room.
